Creato had been charged with murder for the death of little Brendan, who was found partially submerged in a river in 2015.Creato admitted in court Wednesday that he "recklessly caused his son's death under circumstances manifesting extreme indifference to the value of human life by depriving Brendan of oxygen." Investigators believe that Creato took Brendan's life because his 17-year-old girlfriend, who he met on the dating app Tinder, did not like the child. The 23-year-old Creato had been put on trial earlier this year, but that ended with a hung jury. During the trial, Camden County prosecutors said Brendan's neon green socks were clean, which would be impossible if he had wandered off.A medical examiner testified Brendan died from "homicidal violence" but couldn't say where or when he died.
