Cardigan Coastal Cottages is situated on a loop from the path that links east of Mwnt to west of Parcllyn.
Our hostel should prove popular with both walkers and cyclists passing this way.
Car parking for the hostel is available either in the farmyard, which has a concrete surface and a 10% gradient, or on a gravelled area alongside the driveway which has a 15% gradient down to the coarse gravel path around the building.
Access to the hostel is then as follows: Access from the farmyard is over a 2m section of coarse gravel path, over a 180mm threshhold and through a pair of double doors with a maximum opening width of 125mm, into the kitchen/dining room Access from the other side of the building is either: through the kitchen/dining room door which involves negotiating a step of 75mm, then 175mm over a raised threshhold and through an 800mm wide doorway, or through the 750mm wide hall doorway which has a 25mm threshhold Once inside the hostel, there are three, 200mm steps between the kitchen/dining room and hall.
The hall gives access to the drying room, downstairs bunk room and staircase to the upper floor.
For pedestrian access, see the section immediately above.
Including the 0.4 mile driveway, Piggery Poke is 2 miles from Blaenannerch and about 1 mile from the Felinwynt bus stop. If you prefer to cater for yourself, there are shops in Cardigan, Parcllyn and Aberporth.
If you telephone a day ahead, it is possible for us to buy food in for you to save you carrying it. Access to the site from the public road through Felinwynt via a 0.4 mile long farm track.
The Preseli Hills are just to the south of us and the beaches along this stretch of coastline are simply beautiful.
The Ceredigion Coastal Path has been extended, recently, and now joins Ynyslas (northern extreme of Ceredigion, near Borth) with Cardigan and the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.
